so the witnesses came back today to discuss more with me.
it was 2 late 20 yr old men.
i will just give a brief recap.. they told me in the bible it said the earth was a sphere long before people knew it.
I said how could all the animals fit on one ark? They said just the basic kinds were on the ark. I said how can we get all our species from just the basic kinds without evolution? He wrote those concerns as well as how could 8 people take care of so many animals down and will find out for the return visit next week.

at barnes&nobles the other day i was curiously browsing the faith section of books and low 'n behold i saw coc.
it felt good to see it there because when i wanted to read it, i had to order it.
has anyone else found this book in stock at any major book stores?
I went to Barns & Noble to purchase it but they didn't have it or ISoCF in stock. I purchased my copy on e-bay.

the atheists have done a pretty good job on me, i am just about to cast my lot in with them after all the reading and debating on the issue.
they just seem to have all the answers and appear to hold the intellectual high ground, they do a good job of making one feel like a complete idiot for believing in a god, much less the christian version.
so now that i am almost free of this delusional, magical thinking, religious burden of foolishly believing in a god and that there is anymore to life than what is right here how do i feel?
Like today. I have a six-year-old grandson in first grade who is struggling with school. Smart enough, but always getting sent to the "planning room" for times out and that sort of thing. Told me a couple of weeks ago that he "hates school" - in first grade! So, I decided I'd trade off some of my weekly extra hours at work to go volunteer in his classroom an afternoon a week, and now I find myself back in first grade working with him and his schoolmates on learning math, providing some comfort and peace to a troubled little boy in pain. More than one little boy or girl, it seems, considering how they flock around me
